When asked to designed the four bedrooms villa, I decided to work with the biggest asset of the site -the view - and the biggest asset of the country - its art-de-vivre -.
The layout is organized around patios and courtyards, dividing works, services and living areas. The patios let the light and vegetation inside the house.
The house is a elegant mix of buffer zones and private spaces. They create an interesting sense of perspective and depth that highlight volumes and spaces.
Construction materials will be sourced locally. The result is more a estate, digging into the Rwandan art-de-vivre than a massive villa.
