EPISCOPAL CHURCH GALA

a modern take on spirituality representation

Episcopal Charity, the social outreach arm of the Diocese of Chicago, to design an large scale altar to illustrate their Charity gala. A cheerful garland of people inspired by monumental church frescoes of levitating saints and worshippers. Here, everybody is equal as they dance in ecstasy with the four evangelists in their tetramorph forms shapes. The party-goers hold the eight trees of the beatitudes, as described in the XIVth book century encyclopedia “ Liber Floridus”. A spirituality in search of joy, acceptance and community-building to create a more empathetic and caring future.
